The conservative tent (officially) gets smaller

The conservative tent (officially) gets smaller

There is no smaller tent in America than the one pitched by the conservative "movement" at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) each year. And it keeps getting smaller.

Yesterday, CPAC organizers announced that they had changed their mind about inviting American Atheists to set up a booth at this year's conference, which will be held March 6-8 at National Harbor. The group's president said he was "really disappointed, but ... not at all surprised" by the reverse of their fortunes. "We were going to CPAC specifically to combat the notion that one must be Christian in order to be conservative. We wanted to bring that to the forefront."

Yes, but the Family Something Somethings of the conference had one of their hissy fits, the same kind that led to GOProud being similarly booted from the conference lest the conservative movement be seen catching the gay, and so the nice conservative atheists learned that no, you cannot in fact be a non-Christian conservative. It's not allowed...
