I'm pretty sure I dont want to go back to a 90+ percent marginal tax rate, but just getting rid of the Bush tax cuts and getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan would eliminate most of the deficit. With some tweaks, we could maintain the security net AND start reducing the debt. Or we can shovel money at Murdoch ($4.8 billion in tax refunds over the last decade) and the Koch bros (too damned much over their slimy lifetimes!) :)
