Lay Convictions Voided

CNN just reporting: Under obscure Federal Law, the Kenny Boy Lay convictions of earlier this year were voided since he died without being able to appeal them. Thus, the judge responded to an appeal by the Lay family and voided the convictions. The only real effect of this (since Kenny Boy can not enjoy his sudden 'freedom' in the Great Beyond) is that the DOJ can not seize his property to fulfill the judgments against him as part of the convictions. In other words, the Lay family keeps $44MM and the Enron suckers get nothing.
