PATRIDIOT Act Filibuster

The point to remember in the filibuster is, that if it succeeds, the failure to pass the extension is not Congress' fault, but the Administration's. The dissenters in Congress don't necessarily want to abolish the Act, but to hold hearings over it, perhaps modify it somewhat. The Admin refused any compromise, adopting their usual all-or-nothing stance, and thus are getting bitch-slapped by a combination of angry 'libertarian' Dems and moderate Repugs.

The realization that they are NOT a dictatorship would help BushCo get more of what they want (and since that will happen about the time Hell holds its first snowman building contest, that ain't gonna happen!)

UPDATE: CSM has an article about this.
