I don't buy into the whole 'move to the center' thing of the DLC and the Democrat leadership. But John Zogby shows some fascinating numbers that the moderate/independent vote is ours for the taking. I think Dems just need to show them that progressive politics is in their best interest, and then seriously pursue those politics. Stop trying to assuage the wingnuts, stop supporting the war (and admit you were wrong, if only because you were lied to), stop sucking the big money corporate teat, and move to progessive policy measures.
I think the vast middle will respond.
