More Bad News on Alito

As if the 1985 "the Constitution does not protect the right to an abortion" statement weren't bad enough, there's more. He's opposed to proportional democracy as well.

This guy just keeps getting better and better. Where does Bush find these guys? Harding's SCOTUS lists from the 20's?

I was initially swayed that we should let Alito slide and save our powder for a truly bad situation. But the ongoing disclosures of his statements have persuaded me that he DOES need to be filibustered, so that we can say, if he IS confirmed, that we tried to keep him out. Remember, the difference between a conservative and a liberal is that conservatives DON'T change (and are damned proud of it!!!), so it's unlikely that Alito has outgrown or seen the error of his earlier positions. Urge your Senators to send him back to Bush with a big NO stamp on his forehead.
