All the postulation in the blogs was so much wishful thinking, apparently. In the CA-48 special election (to replace Rohrabacher, now head of the SEC, doesnt your money feel SAFER?), Repug Campbell did NOT hit 50%, but the wingnut Minuteman Gilchrist did not siphon enough votes off to put Dem Steve Young (no, not THAT Steve Young!) over the top.
