I'm pretty sure I dont want to go back to a 90+ percent marginal tax rate, but just getting rid of the Bush tax cuts and getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan would eliminate most of the deficit. With some tweaks, we could maintain the security net AND start reducing the debt. Or we can shovel money at Murdoch ($4.8 billion in tax refunds over the last decade) and the Koch bros (too damned much over their slimy lifetimes!) :)

The term plutocracy is generally used to describe these two distinct concepts: one of a historical nature and one of a modern political nature.
Power of money is the rule that the rich, or power provided by wealth. The combination of money and power of the oligarchy are called plutocracy.
Ya I am agree with your opinion....
Once upon a time in America, back a century ago, our nation’s rich paid virtually nothing in taxes to the federal government. And that same federal government did virtually nothing to better the lives of average Americans.
Plutocracy by distinction is not democracy. But all these modern things required themselves into the world sometimes, or quickly after time.
