I don't know if everyone focused on it (I watched ABC, and didnt switch around, so I dont know if it was pool video or just ABC), but it seemed last night like the focus of coverage in the audience was to find the most comatose member. Kennedy looked dead, til he moved his eyes then checked or made some notes, McCain appeared comatose, Liebermann looked sound asleep at one point, and on and on.
The one unsleepy member member was Sen. Grassley who, in response to the demand for more corn than we grow to use for biofuel, looked like he'd won the lottery with a bottle rocket up his ass. Could a grown man, supposedly a serious, nay ponderous, one have looked ANY goofier?
