Einstein defined insanity as repeating the same action over and over while expecting a different result. While pandering to the far right/whackjob-Christian end of the party HAS worked in the last two elections (after 2000 showed Bush he could ignore the middle), it's apparent this year the tactic is backfiring. Each poll shows that the more Bush pushes right, the more support he loses.
And yet, the Repugs and Bush keep pushing in that direction. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. But is seems to be motivating the moderates and the left, while NEWS NOT POLITICS is demotivating the rightwing base. Keep it up, boys, keep it up!
