"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead (Mostly what other say will be in italics, what I say will not. There will be occasions when this is messed up or forgotten, but generally it will true- for those keeping track of the opining vs the reporting!)

Texas Redistricting
For those who've lost track of the fact, it was the campaign for stealing Texas that got DeLay in trouble, not any of the current brouhaha in DC. Although, some of that may come back to bite him in the ass, as well. Lou DuBose, Molly Ivin's partner of the incredible book on Bush, SHRUB, has a lengthy post on the Tx redistricting issue on TomPaine. The suit against the redistricting is about to hit SCOTUS, so it's worth reading to catch up on the issue; if the Court rules against the plan, it's a major step towards honest redistricting. Anyone think that will happen?
