"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead (Mostly what other say will be in italics, what I say will not. There will be occasions when this is messed up or forgotten, but generally it will true- for those keeping track of the opining vs the reporting!)

It's Over
Mark your calendar. Today was the day Iraq as a cohesive whole ended. The bombing of the Samarra mosque will prove, in my opinion, to the sputtering of the long smouldering fuse into the body of the dynamite stick. There can be no reconcilation now between the Sunni and the Shia, and the long feared civil war, which has been simmering since the war ended, will burst forth. Hopefully, our troops on the ground can escape unscathed, but I fear not, particularly if the dimbulbs in DC decide to put down one side or the other, or intervene in any way.
