I haven't seen A THING in the news about it yet, but apparently, bowing to Congressional (and public pressure... 'we don't read the polls', yeah right!), the Shrub administration has rescinded it's waiver of the Bacon-Davis law. This means workers in the Katrina affected areas WILL be receiving legitimated wages (ie, market wages) and not just whatever the contractors (read: Halliburton) want to shell out from their obscene profits.
Amazing, isn't it, that we have to FORCE these 'free marketers' to play in the 'free market'?
